Toner Recycling Program

Many Tampa area businesses are stepping up the game when it comes to the environment. There are so many ways a business can cut its carbon footprint. Whether it’s as simple as switching to LED bulbs or a full-blown solar initiative, Tampa Bay companies are definitely getting in the green game.

Boring Business Systems is no exception, we love helping our customers go green and one such way we do this is through our toner recycling programs. Boring has teamed up with our vendors such as Konica Minolta, Canon, Toshiba, HP and Lexmark to ensure we aren’t adding toner cartridges to our Central Florida landfills. This is done through a partnership with Close the Loop. Close the Loop has made it easy to take back, recover and reuse printer consumables – so they don’t end up in landfills and Florida’s waterways.

Close the Loop has literally closed the loop when it comes to recycling print consumables. They’ve made it simple and free to return used products, they recycle items such as toner cartridges that can be reused and they recover other materials that can be used in other products.

It’s important that we all save energy, recycle and reuse resources and promote policies that make a global difference. We owe this to future generations.

The Konica Minolta Recycling Program

Through Konica’s partnership with Close the Loop, Inc., you can recycle the following printer/copier consumables:

  • Toner cartridges
  • Imaging units
  • Toner bottles
  • Developer units
  • Drums

These initiatives are making a real difference. In 2018, Close the Loop recovered 39 million pounds of materials from landfills.

Best of all, it’s easy for any Tampa Bay area business to participate in the program at no additional cost to their business. For example, Konica Minolta offers one-stop recycling. You can drop their consumables in any box and print out a return label on the KonicaMinolta website. Larger organizations can order Clean Planet recycling kits which all come with a prepaid label attached to shipping boxes. Plus, if your company tracks your green initiatives, you can even review reports showing what your company has returned.

If you ‘d like more information about our consumables recycling options or would like to learn about other ways your company can save money in print costs, give us a call for a print analysis and we’d be happy to help your organization go green and save money along the way.
